IEC supports the worlds Rhino

Back in May 2014 Kieran Avery contacted IEC to help solve an interesting problem. Kieran is a member of Team BunduFundi, a group of intrepid people who take part every year in the Rhino Charge. This is a unique bush challenge that pits man and machine against nature while at the same time raising funds for the conservation of Kenya’s mountain water catchment areas.

The team had the problem of securing suspension components on their unique Land Rover, Car 38, which were prone to coming loose under the huge loads placed on them. After contacting IEC to help we were pleased to offer Kieran Schnorr Safety and Load washers free of charge to help them along.

We are pleased to say that Team Bundufundi once again finished in the top 5 and also that the Schnorr washers performed flawlessly, Kieran stating “The washers are great; strong and did the job perfectly”.

IEC wishes the team the best of luck for future challenges!
