Georgina Keen, daughter of our Sales Director, Peter Keen is studying Biomedical Science at Plymouth University. IEC donated £100 in prize money for the raffle at the Biomed Society's Christmas Ball helping to raise money for Plymouth Mind, the charity supported by Prince's William and Harry.
Plymouth Mind are a mental health charity, formed in 1984, and continue to go from strength to strength, evolving and re-structuring as the need arises, reflecting both the needs of mental health service users and the community they serve.
Their projects are delivered by dedicated, professional staff and they also acknowledge the tireless support of their volunteers and students on placement who work alongside them.
Plymouth & District Mind staff work closely with all levels of mental health professionals, community organisations and networks to improve the quality of life for those with mental health problems, and also to promote positive mental well being. They are members of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and have provided mental health awareness training to some of their members.
